When should I book a Newborn Photography Session with Dreamworks Photography in Kansas City?

Your Newborn Photography session should be booked during your second trimester of pregnancy. This ensures availability for your newborn baby photoshoot. Once baby is born we will schedule the date for your newborn photography session. 

When does my Newborn Photography Session take place? 

Contact your Kansas City newborn photographer, Dreamworks Photography after baby is born and we will set the date for your newborn photoshoot. Newborn Photography sessions typically take place when baby is between 5-21 days old. For babies that have had a circumcision, we like to allow that time to heal so baby isn't uncomfortable during his newborn photos.

How long does a Newborn Photography Session last?

You can expect your newborn photoshoot to last around 3 hours. This is dependent on a number of factors, if baby is exclusively breastfeeding and needs to go back to mom during the session to nurse, if we are photographing siblings and/or the whole family. If baby will take a bottle or a pacifier it is often a lot easier and quicker for the newborn photographer to do this during the newborn photoshoot to get baby asleep into a pose instead of having to go bak to mom.
