Tips to Prepare for Your Maternity Photoshoot in Kansas City

1. Book Your Maternity Photography Session in Advance

You've got a lot going on, your busy preparing for baby's arrival. Let us take one thing off your plate and make your maternity session a breeze!  At Dreamworks Photography we like to take the stress out of your photography sessions. We recommend booking once you reach your second trimester. I invite all clients to come for an in person consultation. You can get to know your Photographer, discuss your vision for your session, and try on gowns. We will ensure you are confident and comfortable when you return for your maternity shoot.

2. Decide on the Look for your Kansas City Maternity Photos

What type of style are you wanting to achieve for your maternity shoot? Are you looking for a luxe look, are you wanting some fine art nude photos, are you wanting your spouse included in your maternity photoshoot? We have a growing collection of designer gowns available in the photography studio as well as body suits, and silk fabrics. Together we will plan your flawless maternity photography session.

3. In Studio Professional Hair & Makeup Artistry for your Maternity Photoshoot

One of our client's favorite benefits of our Fine Art Maternity Sessions is the option to add on professional hair and makeup artistry. Our professional hair and makeup artist is the amazing Anabel Sanchez. She does a phenomenal job making you look and feel your very best and our clients adore her. For makeup we love a natural, elevated and flawless look. Anabel recommend you exfoliate 1-2 days prior to your session and moisturize the night before and day of your session.

4. The Details Matter During Your Kansas City Maternity Photography Session

During your maternity photography session we will make sure you are looking stunning! We have crowns, necklaces and accessories available for your pregnancy photoshoot. We suggest taking it a step above your everyday wear for your maternity photos, we are happy to help coordinate and make recommendations for accessories that will fit your look. Have a favorite pair of heels you want included in your maternity shoot? Bring them!

5. Self Care Prior to Your Maternity Photography Session in Kansas City

You will want to exfoliate you skin 1-2 days prior to your session. Make sure you are using a product you know will not cause a skin reaction. Generously moisturize you face the night before and morning of your session. You will likely be showing some skin, so shave those legs and armpits. You may even want to be trimmed in the bikini area. Come with clean feet and fresh nails.
